College Credit Recommendations

The American Council on Education (ACE) Military Programs Department has evaluated various DEOMI courses since 1972 for college credit recommendations. Credits listed in DEOMI student transcripts are based on these reviews. ACE’s credit recommendations help college and university officials evaluate the education service members received while in the military. Please remember that these recommendations serve as guidelines only. Depending on a particular institution’s policies and practices, they may not accept all or any of these credits for transfer in support of the particular program or degree a service member may be pursuing. For Army, Navy, and Marine personnel, the Army/ACE Registry Transcript System (AARTS) and the Sailor/Marine/ACE Registry Transcript System (SMART) will also reflect credits earned in the DEOMI courses listed below. School administrators can also look up these credit recommendations in the ACE Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services and for some later courses, on their Online Guide at www.militaryguides.acenet.edu/CourseSearch.asp

Reccomendations of credit are maximum figures. The amount of credit actually accepted for tranfer depends upon the applicant's future academic goals and the admitting institution's transfer credit regulations.
